Seems like they could easily replace the corn syrup to make a product that’s better for all their consumers and be a force for positive change in the canned food industry. I guess we’ll see, or people will keep buying this because, at around $1.60 online, it’s the least expensive option. But their upside down can is a cute on shelf marketing ploy, and makes the limited amount of whole berries (based on so many reviews of people complaining about none or very few berries) sink down to the end where you open the can.

Is cranberry sauce a condiment or a fruit sauce? It’s not a fruit, I suppose, but categorically it seems to fit better with apple sauce than with ketchup and mustard. Maybe it’s fine living in both categories. Maybe it needs its own category of “Thanksgiving sauce” or “Thinks I have only ever eaten during a winter holiday”.
