Perfect for marinades, oven, slow cooking and grilling. Gluten Free and no refrigeration required. This is your basic, vinegar-based, Eastern NC barbecue sauce. It’s not super sweet or tomatoy. Probably best suited to pulled pork. Seeing the High Fructose Corn Syrup is a bit worrying these days, and a somewhat common ingredient in the BBQ sauces stocked by Walmart. As with anything else, it’s probably fine in moderation.

About George’s
Anyone who knew George Stallings probably heard him make that claim, when boasting about the sauce that bears his name.
George and his brother Ed invented the recipe for George’s in 1975. For years, the brothers had been treating friends and relatives to their famous barbecue sauce that they developed in George’s home kitchen…some of their first batches were cooked in a dirt floor garage! By the mid 1980’s, their sauce production had grown into a real business.
